Fair Encourages Fiber, Fitness
"Just Eat It," said Weird Al Yankovich in his infamous parody of Michael Jackson's hit song, "Beat It." At yesterday's Nutrition and Fitness Fair, students learned why they shouldn't "just eat it," why they gained the freshman 15 and the benefits of fiber.

Walkin' and talkin': Folks lose and gain in Fitness Challenge
The top walker in the Sedalia Fitness Challenge, who is also a member of the first-place team, gained more than bragging rights through the eight-week competition.

The swimming pool at Club Sierra Sports & Fitness in Grass Valley has reopened after a 23-hour closure ordered earlier this week by the Nevada County Environmental Health Department.

Ramapo spoils NJCU home finale
Ramapo College posted hitting percentages of at least .400 in three games, and finished with 71 kills and a .370 rate overall, as the Roadrunners defeated New Jersey City University, 3-1 (30-26, 30-23, 21-30, 30-19), in a North East Collegiate Volleyball Association Metro Division match at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center on Wednesday.

Today CLASSES NIA TECHNIQUE FITNESS CLASSES, Big Flats Community Center, 476 Maple St., Big Flats. Non-impact cardiovascular fitness: 7 p.m. Mondays, 9 a.m. Tuesdays/Thursdays, 5:45 p.m. Wednesdays. Open to all fitness levels, drop-ins welcome. $7 per class, $48 NIA card for eight classes.
