Uganda: Govt to Investigate Human Rights Abuse in Karamoja Region
The Prime Minister, Prof. Apolo Nsibambi, has appointed an 11-man team to investigate allegations that the UPDF rape Karimojong women during the disarmament exercise in the region.

During a training exercise last week, the Ashland Local Emergency Planning Committee discussed what steps the town would take to deal with a disaster. Shelter, clean water and sewage and food would be priorities for residents, they said.

Healthy Competition

YMCA topic at Rotary
NATCHEZ Natchez may have a recreation facility in the near future, complete with swimming pools and exercise equipment. Mayor Phillip West said at a Natchez Rotary Club meeting Wednesday that he would like to see a facility like the YMCA he visited while in Georgia recently.
